Meet The Team
Rhod
Sales
Holding the reins of sales and taking care of all things legal, Rhod is the backbone of Coolum Beer Co. A long-time Coolum resident, he’s the guy who’s always ready for a cold one and a friendly chat. He can walk into practically any venue on the Sunny Coast and will know at least one person there, making him the perfect bloke to get our beers into more bars around the coast.

Fun fact about Rhod: He’s the Secretary of the Noosa Home Brew Club and has an impressive brewing set-up in his garage!
Cara & John
HR and Operations
Cara and John, the dynamic duo behind Noosa Hinterland Co., are the driving force behind our operations here at Coolum Beer Co. Between the two of them they bring a wealth of expertise and experience to our brewery. Cara is the detail-oriented expert who turns chaos into order effortlessly, and John never met a spreadsheet he didn’t like and keeps our numbers in check.

They met at a backpackers in Durban, South Africa where Cara grew up. When they’re not brewing, talking or enjoying beers, Cara can be found in the vege patch, talking to her chickens, and John can be found, oh hang on, his hobby is also beer, so he can be found in the garage home-brewing…
Jesse
Brewer
Jesse is the mastermind behind our exceptional brews! Previously brewing at Noosa Hinterland, Jesse’s brewing skills were already highly regarded and he was about to make the move to Germany to brew beer there, but we managed to twist his arm to stay here and open Coolum Beer Co. with us! Jesse started brewing around 10 years ago, as he was fascinated by the art and science of it all. His dedication to crafting unique and delicious brews is evident in every drop you taste!

Ryan
Venue Manager
The face you’ll most likely see behind the bar, Ryan has had a hospitality career almost as long as his beard! After spending the last few years setting up his hotel, bar and restaurant in Indonesia’s Gili Islands, Ryan couldn’t resist jumping on board our brewery project so he’d have a reason to stay closer to home. Ryan is the guy who will make sure your experience at Coolum Beer Co. is nothing short of awesome.

Fun fact about Ryan: Ryan is married to Rachael Low, a direct descendent of James and Christina Low who were the first European family to move to the Sunshine Coast in 1864!
